Anastasia
From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family.
This production is amateur, and actors are not paid.

Performers must be at least 18 years old. Performers between the ages of 16-18 may audition for ensemble roles; priority casting will be given to those over the age of 18, however.
Auditions: November 11th from 11am-2pm and November 13th from 6:30-8:30pm. Those auditioning should only attend one audition; they will contain the same elements. Please do not plan to attend both; we may not have the time to see you more than once.
- To audition, please prepare a 32-bar vocal audition to be sung with an instrumental accompaniment. We encourage you to make a selection from a Broadway show.
- Please also prepare a 1-minute monologue.
- Please record a video containing your song and monologue auditions and submit it via the audition form by midnight before your chosen audition day.
- We will view these videos in advance of auditions.
- They will help us determine what characters we’d like to see you read.
- On audition day, we’ll begin with a group dance audition. Please plan to arrive at the start of the audition window.
- After the dance audition, we will release those who are only interested in ensemble roles. For those who remain, we’ll begin cold readings from the script.
Rehearsal: Rehearsals will occur Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm. We’ll add Saturdays from 10am-1pm beginning in January 2024. Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. Those with a regular pre-existing conflict (such as a regular lack of ability on one of the three rehearsal days) will still be considered so long as we do not feel that the conflict will hinder the show.
Through the end of 2023, we’ll rehearse November 27 and 30th, December 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, and 21st.
- Please note: your ability to attend rehearsal will directly impact the role we’re willing to offer. Please be honest on your audition form; not every role will require as many rehearsals.
- If you miss more than two rehearsals outside of the ones listed on your original audition form, your role will be recast. We understand that different theatre companies operate with varying expectations; these are ours, so we wanted to ensure that you knew them in advance of auditions!
Performances: Tech Week: February 26th-29th, Performances: March 1st (7pm) and 2nd (1pm and 7pm)
