Classes and Workshops

When registering using the form at the bottom of this page, you’ll provide information about you/your child’s experience, interests, and availability. We’ll use this information to:

1. Place you/your child in the best class level for their age and experience level.
2. Determine the most convenient time for classes based on student availability.

Class levels and times will be finalized after the initial registration deadline on December 18th. You may register after this time until the first day of class, but the class times and levels will be set after December 18th.

1. Semester-Long Conservatory Program – classes available for ages 10-18.

Cost: $50 per class session

• Dates: Weekly from January 14 – April 22, 2025
• Class Length: 1.5 hours
• Class Time: Tuesday afternoons. Exact timing will be determined after the pre-registration and placement deadline on December 18th.
• What to Expect:
  • Advanced acting topics and skills tailored to your child’s experience level.
  • End-of-semester showcase presentation on April 22nd.
  • Special workshops with guest artists and speakers.
  • Opportunities to explore technical theatre.
  • Eligible to audition for the spring kids’ musical.

Payment Options:

• Monthly Payments:
  • $50 (deposit) due at registration
  • $100 due January 31st
  • $200/month due on the last day of February, March, and April
  • The amount due will adjust if classes are cancelled by the Grand staff.
• One-Time Payment: $650 (discounted), due January 31

2. Six-Week Workshops – classes available for ages 5+ 

Cost: $180 per workshop ($30 per class) – $130 due after applying a $50 deposit.

• Dates:
  • February/March Session: Feb. 11 – March 17
  • March/April Session: March 24 – April 29, no class on April 8th.
• Class Length: 1 hour
• Class Time: Tuesday afternoons. Exact timing will be determined after the pre-registration and placement deadline on December 18th.
• What to Expect:
  • Perfect for students with a busy schedule who want to build acting skills.
  • End-of-session showcase (March 17th or April 29th).
  • Eligible to audition for the spring kids’ musical.

Your child will be placed in a level that best matches their experience:

• Beginner. This level is great for students who are new to acting or who have only participated in a few opportunities so far. If your child is just starting out in their theatre journey, this is the perfect level for them! Students in Beginning Acting classes will learn foundational skills, like definitions of key concepts.
• Intermediate. This level is a step up from the beginning class. As an intermediate actor, students are still early in their theatre journey, but they’ve learned some of the basic building blocks already. They’ve probably participated in several shows and are just now expressing an interest in learning a little more.
• Accelerated. This level reflects actors who have decided they really want to pursue acting as more than just a passing hobby. These actors have performed in several productions and want to learn some deeper techniques and become stronger in their craft.
• Advanced. If your actors has a lot of experience under their belt, this may be the class level for them. In this level, the students will engage in challenging content and material. The goal will be to prepare them for more difficult audition processes and productions.
