Century Bank Series
The 2018-19 Entertainment Series is Here!
Century Bank Entertainment Series at The Grand Theatre Lineup Announcement.
The series continues on Sunday, February 24th with The Travelin’ McCourys. No other band today has the same credentials for playing traditional and progressive music. As the sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury, Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Rob McCoury on banjo continue their father’s work—a lifelong dedication to the power of bluegrass music to bring joy into people’s lives. And with fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram, the ensemble is loved and respected by the bluegrass faithful. But the band is now combining their sound with others to make something fresh and rejuvenating.
Country music band, Little Texas comes to The Grand on Saturday, March 2nd. As part of the Young Country movement of the early ‘90s, Little Texas were responsible for shaking up the country music world with a new, energetic sound that fused the look and attitude of modern rock music with traditional country themes and styles, bringing a much-appreciated bolt of life into the genre. For their efforts, country fans the world over richly rewarded the band, buying up over 7 million of their albums, while critics showered them with 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group Of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year).
Darryl Worley to perform at The Grand Theatre on Saturday, April 13th in place of John Berry.
John Berry announced that he is having to cancel a number of his shows because of a health issue. One of those shows is the one that was scheduled for The Grand Theatre on April 13th as part of the Century Bank Entertainment Series. We wish John the very best in this latest health challenge, and we will look forward to having him back at The Grand Theatre once he is back to performing.
After getting word about the cancellation, we immediately began searching for someone with name recognition and established hits to fill that date. The Grand Theatre is pleased to announce that Darryl Worley will be coming to Cartersville on Saturday, April 13th as part of the Century Bank Entertainment Series. Darryl has had twelve, Billboard Top 40 Hits including three number one hits, “I Miss My Friend,” “Awful, Beautiful Life” and “Have You Forgotten?”. His latest project, “Second Wind: Latest and Greatest”, mixes the traditional-country history he established in Nashville with the ragged soul that’s deep in the bones of Muscle Shoals, a musical Alabama hotbed where Worley got his start. Tickets for Darryl Worley are on sale now at thegrandtheatre.org.
If you purchased tickets to the John Berry concert, your ticket purchase has automatically transferred to the Darryl Worley show, and no action is needed on your part. If you prefer to have your ticket purchase refunded, please contact The Grand Theatre Ticket Office via email at email@example.com.
