Summer Camps

Grand Theatre Summer Music Theatre Camps 2018
Registration begins February 15, 2018

Camps are available for students who are completing grades 2-12
Tuition includes a camp t-shirt and cast picture.

You may also call 770-386-7343 ext. 2 or come by The Grand Theatre Ticket Office at 7 North Wall Street in downtown Cartersville, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 5p.m.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP
Students just completing grades 5-7
Featured Play: Kokonut Island
Stage Director: Morgan Brooks

Music Director: Kaye Compton

Dates: June 4-15, 2018 (Two-week camp)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Performances: Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th at 7:00 p.m. (One-hour performance)
Tuition: $275.00 Non-refundable
Students bring a lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
On Wednesday, walk to a downtown restaurant with parent chaperones for lunch.
Friday is pizza day!

Students may be asked to provide costume pieces or props.

 

ELEMENTARY CAMPS
Students just completing grades 2-4
Two different sessions are available. Each is one week.
Featured Play: Get in the Game! A musical about sports.

Elementary Camp I
Dates: June 18-23—Monday through Friday

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Performance: Saturday, June 23rd at 7:00 p.m. (40 minute performance)

Elementary Camp II
Dates: June 25th through June 29th—Monday through Friday

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Performance: Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. (40 minute performance)
Tuition: $175. Non-refundable
Bring a lunch. Students may be asked to provide costume pieces or props.

 

SENIOR HIGH CAMP
Students just completing grades 7-12
Featured Play: TBA
Director: Erin Gunter, Music Director: Julie Carver, Choreographer: Christina Weinzetl

Audition/Casting Day: Saturday, July 7th—9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Must attend all day.
Camp Dates: July 9 through 27th
Camp Hours: Monday-Friday , 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Performances: Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 29th at 2:30 p.m.
Tuition: $375.00 Non-refundable
Ticket Prices: $10 for adults, $7.00 students (There will be a discount for parents)
Students may be asked to help in providing costume pieces or props.
Students may bring a lunch or walk to a downtown restaurant with parental permission. They will not have chaperones if leaving the theatre for lunch, but are encouraged to go in a group. Students with driver’s licenses may leave campus, but must abide by Georgia law as to who may ride with them. Students not driving must have written parental permission to leave campus with another student. Supervision is provided for students who eat at the theatre.
